The Living Room is a collection of short monologues, developed in collaboration with director Cliff Moustache and performer Kevzta (aka Kevin Mbugua). Inspired by both literary salons and stand-up comedy, the thematic focus of the collection centres upon an immigrant’s view of Norwegian society and politics. Sharp, political, witty content works in tandem with linguistic depth and poesy.
The textual material remains in flux to enable a rapid response to current events. The Living Room is a site-specific piece for, well, someone’s living room.
